From a hardworking child in Wanica to the founder of one of Suriname's most prominent enterprises.

Born 1925

Baitali Gobardhan: from Wanica to Paramaribo

+
Baitali Gobardhan was born on June 5, 1925 in Welgedacht, Wanica. Raised in a hardworking farming family, he learned from an early age the value of perseverance and practical thinking.
The nineteen fifties

The first major leap: infrastructure and growth

+
With borrowed capital and his own trucks, he participated in the construction of infrastructure projects in Suriname. His reputation for quality and reliability grew quickly.
The eighties & nineties

Diversification and the formation of the group

+
From road construction to rice cultivation, from earthworks to asphalt production. The companies were brought together in a holding that laid the foundation for today's Baitali Group.
After 2004

The next generation: professionalization and growth
