Senior Engineer

Role description

Duties and Responsibilities Review relevant survey data for projects; Review relevant laboratory data for projects; Review design and as-built drawings; Review structural, geotechnical, and drainage calculations; Prepare cost estimates and financial analyses; Prepare and review memoranda, reports, and presentations; Maintain client relationships and professional networks; Lead and supervise junior, medior, and larger project teams; Initiate and develop R&D projects into business cases in collaboration with the R&D Department; Facilitate knowledge transfer within the department; Support other departments with the procurement and sale of materials, as well as the preparation of supply and subcontracting agreements; Ensure proper supervision and guidance during project execution; Monitor compliance with HSE regulations, PPE usage, and other applicable protocols; Prepare Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and implement resulting actions within operations; Report incidents, observations, and other relevant matters; Report to the Head of Engineering, Project Manager, and/or Project Engineer. Responsibilities Ensure accurate upward reporting; Prepare and review accurate drawings; Perform and review accurate engineering calculations; Prepare accurate bills of quantities and unit rates; Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Assume responsibility and accountability for HSE matters related to assigned tasks; Maintain accurate and complete administrative records. Authorities Provide recommendations and professional advice to management. Reporting Structure Reports to: Head of Engineering, Project Manager Coordinates with: Senior Surveyor, Senior Technician Supervises: Medior Surveyor, Medior Technician, Medior Engineer Work Location The employee will be active at AMB project sites and company facilities. It should be noted that the above list is not exhaustive and may be expanded with additional duties and responsibilities that reasonably fall within the scope of an Engineer’s role and professional expertise.

Zorg dragen voor een goede coördinatie, integratie en uitwerking van de ontwerpen vanaf basic- tot aan detail engineering, alsook zorg dragen voor de vertaling van het ontwerp naar de uitvoering.

What we ask of you

1. 01Completed MSc degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or an equivalent field of study;
2. 02Minimum of 8 years of experience as an Engineer;
3. 03Strong command of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken;
4. 04Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project);
5. 05Experience with design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, and Lumion);
6. 06Ability to interpret technical drawings;
7. 07Experience with engineering calculation software (BISAR, Vencon, SCIA, and Deltares tools);
8. 08Commercial awareness and experience with tendering and procurement processes;
9. 09Knowledge of construction contract forms (UWS, FIDIC, UAV-GC, EU, etc.) is an advantage;
10. 10Knowledge of survey processes (leveling, GPS, total station, and drone surveying) is an advantage;
11. 11Experience with survey equipment is an advantage;
12. 12Knowledge of laboratory procedures and testing methodologies (borehole logs, DCP testing, cone penetration testing, concrete, and asphalt testing);
13. 13Experience with laboratory equipment is an advantage;
14. 14Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems, and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems is recommended;
15. 15Flexibility regarding work location and working hours is considered an advantage.
